VEGETABLE TUNNEL PROJECTS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We have been working together with many different financial institutions, business organisations, government departments, NGO`s and NPO`s for more than 10 years to uplift communities by teaching them to produce their own food. The success of this program has been well documented and can be experienced by visiting any of the sites we have been involved at. Each program goes through an application process and is evaluated according to need and feasibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

. The following is what makes our projects sustainable.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022We keep the cost to the absolute minimum,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Provide entry level training and support to the beneficiaries,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Are personally involved and provide practical guidance throughout the first 12 months of the project, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Provide constant support though technology such as WhatsApp groups and virtual gateways. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vegetable tunnel program include<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022The complete tunnel of 5 x 10m with closed sides,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022The installation of the tunnel,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Transport to the sites,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Compost, fertiliser & 500 seedlings per tunnel,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Tools required,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Facilitate planting of the first crop,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Training of the beneficiaries\/volunteers on site,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Training material with visual aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Virtual communication on a weekly basis providing assistance with the growth process;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Facilitate harvesting of the first produce when ready, Business development education and implementation <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The standard tunnel is 5m x 10m. It takes up minimal space. From just one tunnel, enough vegetables are produced to feed at least 150 people over a period of 6 \u2013 8 months. The benefits of tunnels are that your produce needs much less water than a conventional garden; the vegetables are protected against free roaming animals, the elements & pests; leaving a much higher yield than an open garden.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Spinach is very healthy and contains a lot of essential elements needed by man \u2013 but it can already be harvested in as short as 6-8 weeks after being planted. If you stimulate the growth of the plants by just harvesting one leaf off each plant every day, you will be able to harvest 250 leaves every day \u2013 and you will lengthen the productive life of the plants to more than 7 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Onions contain various vitamins, minerals and potent plant compounds that have been shown to promote health in many ways.
 
Beetroots have been associated with numerous health benefits, including improved blood flow, lower blood pressure, and increased exercise performance.<\/p>\n<\/div>
